How loud is the Caterlite ice crusher?
With ice being chewed up quickly by strong stainless steel blades, ice crushers tend to be quite noisy at around 80dB. That’s about the same as a dishwasher or a loud vacuum cleaner.
Is the Caterlite ice crusher safe?
The Caterlite ice crusher includes safety features to prevent injury. For example, the mechanism will only work if the unit is switched on and the ice container is locked into position. Still, it’s important that any users read and understand the instruction manual carefully before using for the first time.
How do you clear the crusher if ice gets blocked?
The Caterlite is designed to crush ice blocks no bigger than 2x2x2cm, so any smaller cubes should be easily crushed. If ice does block the mechanism, switch the unit off and pour hot water through the ice chute. Do not try to dislodge ice with any tools or fingers!
